Live recording of the Quantz conzert 2005

CD available now

SCHEDEN. The third Quantz CD with the recording of the concert in February 2005 is now available to a price of € 10,-- at the Quantz exhibition in Scheden. The CD contains the Symphony Nr. 4 A-major by Frederick the Great, two flute concerts by Johann Joachim Quantz (concert for flute and orchestra e-minor QV 5:120 and concert for two flutes and orchestra D-major QV 6:1) and the Symphony Nr. 28 C-major KV 200 by Mozart, played by the Göttinger Symphony Orchestra under conduction of Christian Simonis. It also contains three madrigals of „Das Studentengärtlein“ by Johann Jeep, performed by three choirs of Scheden (mixed choir, church choir and MGV 1879 Oberscheden).
The Quantz exhibition is open Sundays from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm in the church of Scheden. The CD can also be ordered by phone at Heidrun Stichtenoth under 05546/552 and will be send to you plus postage and packing.
If you purchase all three Quantz CDs for € 30,-- you get the brochure about life and work of the composer and flutist, nee in 1697 in Scheden by Meike ten Brink for free.
